Soooo cute.

Hello everyone:). I am so glad that the weather has improved today and the storm has gone away. I hope everyone is well and safe. I am posting light and cute pictures for all of us to enjoy as we try to get back on with our lives as we realize that we are blessed after all, to have shelter and to have our loved ones safe.

So, getting back to the pictures . . . I saw these in a blog I love to read, thestylishtot.com. I know that these clothes are way too expensive but we can use them as inspiration for dressing our tots, right? Maybe a "look for less"? So here goes . . .

Adorable, right? I won't say I may not be able to afford it in the future because I want to think positive :)  (although these clothes won't be a priority of mine if I do have extra money) and DREAM because after all, DREAMS are free so I DREAM big :). In the meantime, I will use these pictures as a peg for dressing up my little boy:).

Some scenes from today.

The winds were extra strong today. It whipped the plants in the garden.

Look at our bamboos . . . NOW YOU SEE THEM . . .

NOW YOU DON'T.

It was raining so hard and the winds were so strong. There was no electricity for around 8 hours. Everybody had to stay indoors. I heard that it is really bad outside. I really hope and pray that the rains will stop already.

Uno had to come up with ways to entertain himself aside from playing with his toys. Good thing I had stored a box of finger paints for times such as this (note to self: it is really good to have stocks of "arts and crafts" stuff all the time. it does not have to be expensive, just simple things like clay, pots of paints, construction paper, etc.).

It is at times like this that we get to enjoy the simplicity of life without the ipad, the playstation, the computer or whathaveyou.

A person's a person no matter how small.

I watched Seussical by Repertory Philippines today, with my Hubby and Uno, hence the title of my post:). Horton, the elephant, kept on saying that line and it stuck to my head! The play was colorful and very engaging. Honestly, I don't think a child younger than 5 years old would really understand the story yet though, but the songs and the costumes would keep him entertained. Uno loved it (he is already five years old)! He had his eyes glued to the stage the whole time:). I had to help him understand and explain some parts of the story as the play went along because he also was asking a lot of questions. The play was money and time worth spent:). All of us enjoyed it.
Repertory's Seussical. That's Horton the Elephant.

After the play, we went to Greenbelt 5 for some fun, shopping and dinner:). While Uno and his Papa went to Toys R' Us, I went around for some window shopping. Guess what I chanced upon? SALE signs all over:). And SALE signs are like magnets that lure me in. I was able to score some finds at children's shops for myself. Yes, I do shop at children's clothing stores for myself at times because when I shop for Uno, I find some really cute stuff there too that fits me and the clothes are  sometimes cheaper as compared to regular adult stores :). My finds:
Kiddie stores galore:)!

I got these cute sandals at 50% off! They are actually styled like a little girl's sandal that is why I liked it. It is also not high that I can wear it for casual days and not flat at all too. They have little girl's and mommy's sizes for this style - very cute! but since I don't have a little girl, I just got a pair for myself :).

This pair I have in Bone also. I got my Bone colored ones last year at Tarte Tatin's branch in Rustan's. They became one of my "favorites"  because they are very comfy, I love the style and it is made well. When I saw that they were now at 60% off, I snatched the Pink ones. Now, what should I pair them with:)?

I am a sucker for jumpsuits because you don't have to think about "what goes with what". You just simply slip them on! So when I saw that they had a size 18 for this and it was at 50% off, I could not resist:).

What about you, do you shop at children's stores too? Or am I just funny and weird, tee hee:).

Meet My Other Child.

This is Sable. My other child - doggy girl child, that is.

She is the cutest, most gentle, loving, adorable teddy bear I have ever owned in my life:). She is older than Uno. She lets Uno do anything with her - ride on her back, flip her ears, kiss her, hug her to death, smother her and all the other things that a boy would love to do with his favorite stuffed toy. When Uno was a baby, I was always wondering if maybe he mistook Sable for a stuffed toy:).

That's the two of them being silly while Mommy is taking pictures for a class project entitled "Me and My Pet".
And, this is what Sable pretty much loves to do the whole day . . .
Sleepity, sleepity, sleepity . . . SLEEP!

Unconditional Love, Perfect Love.

This video brought tears to my eyes. I found out about this video in a blog I love to read, manilamommy.com - thank you manilamommy for sharing this.

That is how I am when I lose my patience (oh me, oh my! i felt so guilty when i watched this video. i really promise to do better:)). And, that is how my son is too, when I lose my patience. His eyes and his smile melts my heart. Yes, there is such a thing as unconditional love of a mother to her child, and yes, there is also such a thing as a child's PERFECT love for her mother, no matter what.

I love you so much Uno, even at times when mommy loses her patience:).

Mommy and Uno's Toy.

Hubby's Special Birthday Gift to Me:).
I got an IPad 2 from my loving hubby for my birthday just this August:). Yes, it is a favorite toy of mine not only because of its sentimental value but also because of how amazed I am of how I can use it to help me teach Uno the world of books, alphabets, math, counting, art and so much more! I did my research and tried to look for interactive books for Uno. And off I went downloading:). I paid for most of it though, but I think they are well worth it especially when I see Uno's fingers excitedly flipping the pages:). Just want to share with you Uno's favorites (and mine too:)) just in case you are looking for colorful, fun and educational apps for your kids aged from two to around seven years old.
Cars 2 -World Grand Prix.
For obvious reasons, anything Cars 2 will excite him. Quite expensive but  it is a very interactive book and you get to make your own race car and race it too:).
Chuck and Friends - Friends for the Long Haul.
Uno loves this so much! Well worth the price too for it has 75 pages, interactive and educational at the same time.

Also:
Bartleby's Book of Buttons. This one I love too:)! Got it for free since they are awaiting the release of Volume 2.

The Monster at the End of this Book. Very cute!

Wild Fables. Stories with moral lessons.

The Three Little Pigs. A 3D fairy tale. Adorable and very colorful. Your child can help huff and puff down the houses through the mic of your ipad.

The Cat in the Hat Comes Back. Anything Dr. Seuss is worth it:). Don't you think so?

Mickey's Spooky Night. It has puzzle games that your child will enjoy within the story.

Toy Story 1, 2 and 3. Expensive but well worth it especially if your child is into Buzz and Woody.

Treasure Kai. An interactive adventure book with treasure chests, sharks, snakes, falling stones and what have you. Something like Indiana Jones:).

Nash Smasher. An interactive story with a lesson about a boy who loves to destroy things. It has pull-out tabs that works just like a real book!

Peter Rabbit Pop-Out. I  just love Beatrix Potter and the magical illustrations in her books. This version retained the magic and it is well worth it.

Sentence Magic. Teaches your child to read in a fun way.

Ace Math. Let's your child practice math while having fun at the same time.

Thanks for dropping by:)!

HELLO.

Hello. Just wanted a space for me to put my mommy musings in:). So that, just as pictures capture memories, words may as well:).
