Merry Christmas from our home to yours.

Scenes from Christmas Eve . . .
Uno and I prepared milk and cookies for Santa and left it by the tree :).

Merry Christmas everyone! God bless you and your loved ones. We are reminded once again of how blessed we are that our Saviour has been born. Happy Birthday dear Jesus!

Holiday Memories.

These past few days has been really crazy busy . . . but all for the love of Christmas, of Sharing, of Spending Time with family and friends, of buying Simple Surprises to show someone how Special she/he is.

It was our Christmas Gift in itself to watch Uno play the part of Gabriel during their Christmas Play.

The hubby and I got to spend some time together over Caramel Milk Tea and Choco Mint Tea Slush.

Uno got invited to a Special Santa Party. And it was magical! The grandparents of Uno's friend do this party every year. They hire an actor to play the part of Santa :). A week before the party, I wrote a letter for Uno that Santa will read to him and also dropped off the present Santa will give to him. Oh the twinkle in the children's eyes were priceless!

We also had our village Christmas Party at our clubhouse last weekend. We were supposed to be dressed in cowboy/cowgirl attire. Since I do not own a single pair of boots :), I had to make do with whatever I had in my closet that kind of looked western in a way :)!

Slept at 2AM trying to wrap as much gifts as I can :)!

Now off I go to give my neighbors this Christmas bread filled with candied fruits, cinammon and nuts! I hope they will find it yummy :).

And lastly, I was so blessed to hear someone say this last Sunday, "Giving is not a requirement, nor is it an obligation. BUT IT IS A PRIVILEGE TO GIVE BACK TO THE ONE WHO GAVE US ALL."

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree.

Finally, I was able to put up our tree! On Christmases past, I was never late in putting up our tree. Come December 1st, our tree is usually up and twinkling. This year though is quite different. I had to retire my 15 year old tree. Oh my precious tree. Not because she is shabby and old-looking, but ever since we moved in our new home this year, we decided to finally get a new one. One that was slim and taller. One that would fit in our new home. I kind of had a hard time looking for a slim one, till this weekend. And now here she is, all tucked up in our window corner . . . welcome home dear tree.

As soon as I got home Saturday night, I started decorating it right away because I wanted Uno to wake up the next day and be surprised :). I finished at 2 in the morning :)! Tadah!

I wanted it all silver at first, but then I decided to put on some red to make it look more festive.

This is how she looks like at night.

Got Mrs. Tree a friend to come home with her so she won't be too lonely. Welcome home too, Mr. Santa. When Uno saw him, he went wild!

I used my old red christmas balls and put them in jars and bowls. A very inexpensive but attractive way to decorate, I discovered :).

Merry Christmas everyone :). HOPE, LOVE, JOY and RENEWED FAITH is what I wish for all. And may the remembrance of the birth of Jesus be the real meaning of Christmas.

My christmas gift came early.

I got my Christmas Gift from my hubby early. I got it November 15 pa :). I just looked at it once, just to check it, and I packed it away again - ready to be opened again still on Christmas Day :). He knows how much I wanted this and words are not enough to express my gratitude because I know how he works very hard for me and Uno and how he takes pride in providing for us.

The first time I opened it, I could not hold myself, my heart was pounding and I screamed in delight :)! I told him, "Hub, thank you so much, it is so beautiful. I can't believe I am holding the bag of my dreams :)!". I paraded around with it and called out to him again, "Hub, look at me please. Bagay sa akin! Ang ganda noh?" I was making him kulit to look at the bag. You know what he said? After I heard him say it, I stopped, my heart melted, and I got teary-eyed - not because I had the bag of my dreams but he just simply said: "The bag is not important to me naman. What I really wanted to see is the twinkle and the glow in your eyes the first time you saw it because I am happy when I see you happy."

I just saw this video at Daphne Paez' blog and I just had to share it. Such a beautiful video, brought me to tears.

Makes me realize what my true happiness really is.

Ho, Ho, Ho!

Last Tuesday, Uno and I did some crafting :). I saw this "Paint Your Christmas Decor" boxes in National Bookstore on SALE, and I could not resist it :)! They have other designs too like Christmas balls, a Snowman and other versions of Santa. I plan to go back and get the other designs because it is so fun to do and it is pretty cheap too :)!

The set comes with two Santas, a brush and a set of paints.

Uno was excited! He starts to paint Santa's boots . . .

And now Santa's pants :) . . .

Tadah :)!!! That's Uno and Mama's Santa looking spiffy and colorful! Ready for their job :)!

As of today, there are three of them, because Ate Len made her own too:).

And they are happily standing on my mantel:). Ho, Ho, Ho!
