The Vikings dinner that we never had.

Yesterday, we planned on having my father-in-law's birthday dinner at Vikings, the restaurant near Mall of Asia that offers buffet at P888. I have read a lot about it - varied reviews but one constant thing they say is that it offers a multitude of dishes. The hubby, Uno and I arrived there early, around 5:30pm. Since we were early, we did not expect it yet to be crowded. But my oh my, were we wrong! There was already a crowd waiting to be seated and when we asked for a table, we were waitlisted at number 15! So we walked around the area and took some photos to while the time away . . .
Come 7pm, no tables available yet and the waitlist number was already at number 35! Apparently, they accept reservations by phone about two weeks in advance. So if you walk-in, expect to wait :). But the kids could not wait any longer so we just decided to transfer to Yakimix, another buffet restaurant. Unfortunately, two of their branches had a waitlist too! So we had to give up Yakimix also. We ended up at Sheraton Hotel then:). Which was a very good and happy choice - they had a generous buffet for us adults and for the kids they offered kiddie meals, a big space and lots of pretty sights inside the hotel!

Even though they were so hungry already (who would not be when we had to transfer to three different restos!), their impatience were erased when they were asked to choose from a menu that offered "Batman and Robin Burgers, Power Rangers Pasta, Big Bird Chicken Lollies, etc." Also, they were all too happy because they were given crayons and coloring pages :). I was happy to find out that Sheraton was a kid friendly hotel so "Hooray to Sheraton!" for that :).

Us adults, headed straight to the buffet to get some food too :). So everyone is happy now :).

Big space to goof around in!

Happy, happy birthday Papa! God bless you more with good health and happiness. And to Joan and Dhey, Danny, and all the other cousins: we miss you and we love you! Christmas 2012 perhaps?!? - yes, God willing, we will definitely pray for that :)!

So the Vikings will just have to wait - maybe some other time, we'll see :).
